QA DBTester: Direct Access to the Database

QA DBTester is a QualityWorks product that enables you to drive and interrogate your ODBC-compliant databases directly. You can access and validate the data itself. QA DBTester lets your test scripts directly manipulate over 35 leading databases. With QA DBTester, you can:

Verify an application's database contents without using the application
Read database information that will be used as input to a testcase
Set up data conditions between tests
Set the database to a known state
Exercise administrative and other database functions, triggers and stored procedures

Using SQL statements embedded in Visual 4Test, QA DBTester lets you connect to a database and subsequently disconnect; submit an SQL statement; and read data from selected records. You can even use these SQL statements to maintain your own bug and test data databases to better manage your testing process.
